Architectural. Experimental.
Finn Julia Lundsten has been hailed the Eames of footwear. Likening a shoe to a chair, Lundsten views the heel and sole as legs, with the shoe’s upper as the seat.
Inspired by natural architecture including buildings and furniture details and structures found in nature, Lundsten’s designs are instantly identifiable from their directional hardwood heels.
While at London’s Royal College of Art, Lundsten won an internal design competition two years in a row (judged by Manolo Blahnik). Blahnik himself has described her work as ‘exquisite, divine and perfect’.
Notwithstanding, Finsk remains almost an industry secret – elusive but adored by those in the know. Eve joins a select handful of retailers worldwide who carry Finsk collection.
